The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education (CPE).

Pharmacists can earn a maximum of 9.75 contact hours of CPE credit by attending one CPE session during each session block during AMCP 2020 (not including pre-conference programs and satellite symposia held in conjunction with AMCP 2020). To obtain credit, pharmacists must attend a session in its entirety, participate in session-specific learning assessments, obtain a session-specific attendance code, complete a session evaluation, and record their participation online at https://amcplearn.org no later than 5:00 PM ET on Monday, May 25, 2020. No exceptions can be made after this date.

Target Audience and Conference Objectives

The CPE sessions at AMCP 2020 are designed to provide insights and solutions for pharmacists who practice in managed care settings, and to help them maintain and enhance their knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • Using best practice examples, describe marketplace trends that will impact manage care pharmacy in the future.
  • Identify the latest trends and innovations in value-based care and the impact on managed care pharmacy.
  • Summarize the latest legislative and regulatory issues in the health care environment and their impact on managed care pharmacy.
  • Outline key findings from cutting-edge managed care research.
  • Characterize the rapidly changing specialty pharmaceutical landscape and identify efficient and effective ways to manage this growing market segment.
  • Identify challenges and opportunities currently facing managed care pharmacy.

CPE Monitor

The CPE Monitor system became mandatory for all pharmacists, technicians, and CPE providers on January 1, 2013. If you have not obtained your National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) e-profile ID, please visit https://nabp.pharmacy. If you have any questions about this system or your number, please contact NABP customer support at 847-391-4406, Monday–Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM CT.

Information about the amount of CPE credit pharmacists earn at AMCP 2020 is transmitted electronically by AMCP to NABP. Pharmacists who log in to CPE Monitor will be able to access information about CPE credit earned at AMCP 2020 approximately 72 hours after successful submission.

State Requirements

Some states have special requirements for program content to meet state requirements for continuing education. Please check with your state Board of Pharmacy to determine if such requirements exist and to determine if the CPE sessions at AMCP 2020 meet those requirements.
